The Airbelt D4 Premium is the full-size sedan of the SEBO line: the biggest bag (1.5 gallons), the longest reach (a 40-foot cord for a 52-foot radius) and the 12-inch ET-1 electric powerhead for carpet, with a parquet brush for everything hard. It is the canister we recommend for a large house that cannot decide between carpet and wood, because it does not have to. A canister keeps the motor on the floor and puts only the hose and wand in your hand, which is why people with stairs keep buying them.

Why we like it
- A 52-foot cleaning radius means one outlet per floor in most houses, and the 1.5-gallon bag is the largest SEBO makes for a canister.
- The ET-1 electric powerhead has its own 175-watt brush motor and four manual height settings, so deep carpet gets agitation a suction-driven head cannot match.
- You can clean without the powerhead, which is the point of the parquet brush: soft bristles on the hardwood and no spinning roller to scatter grit.
- Thermal motor protection shuts the 1250-watt motor down if the hose clogs and lets it restart when it cools, which is simpler than a circuit board and, in our experience, just as reliable.
Think twice if
- If your house is all hard floor, the D1 Turbo has the same body and reach with an air-driven rug head instead of the electric one, and you will not miss the ET-1.
- If storage is a closet with a vacuum-shaped gap, the E3 has the same ET-1 head on a smaller body with a 0.92-gallon bag and a 37-foot radius.
- If you cannot stand managing a hose and wand and want to push something, the Felix puts the same ET-1 head on an upright.

Warranty, shipping and returns
SEBO's standard residential warranty on the D4 is 7 years on the motor, 5 years on non-wear parts and 5 years on labor. Avon Vacuums is a SEBO Medalist dealer, and a D4 bought here and registered with SEBO carries 10 years motor, 10 years non-wear parts and 7 years labor instead. Wear items are excluded: brush rollers, belts, bags and filters. A D4 qualifies for free shipping to the contiguous U.S. (orders of $75 and up), and most orders ship within 2 to 3 business days. Factory-sealed, unused machines can come back within 30 days with the buyer paying return shipping; an opened machine with a fault goes through SEBO's warranty, and we help you through it.

What is the difference between the D4 and the E3?
The same ET-1 powerhead and parquet brush on two different canister bodies. The D4 has a 1.5-gallon bag, a 40-foot cord and a 52-foot radius; the E3 has a 0.92-gallon bag, a 25-foot cord and a 37-foot radius. Big house, D4. Smaller house or smaller closet, E3.
How heavy is the canister?
SEBO lists the D4 body at 15.9 pounds and the handle at 1.5 pounds. The body rides on the floor behind you, so the weight you actually carry is the handle, tube and head.
Do I need to switch anything for hard floors?
Swap the ET-1 head for the parquet brush on the quick-release connection. The canister runs fine without the powerhead plugged in.
Is HEPA filtration available on the D4?
No. The D4 uses SEBO's S-class filtration, with a pre-motor filter, the three-layer bag and an S-class exhaust microfilter. There is no HEPA upgrade listed for this model.
