Inside the SR52 is VacuMaid's 7.2-inch Premier tangential bypass motor, in a 26-inch can rated for up to 10,000 square feet with a disposable HEPA-style bag. The trade for that motor in that cabinet is sound: at 70 dB it is about what an oil burner sounds like when it fires, so this unit lives in a garage or a far basement corner, not beside the nursery. It pulls 631 air watts and 142 inches of water lift at 15.8 amps, which means a dedicated 20-amp circuit.

Think twice if
- The power unit has to mount near living space. The SR66 covers the same 10,000 square feet at 58 dB, in a taller can.
- Your panel cannot spare a 20-amp circuit. At 15.8 amps this unit needs one, and that is an electrician's job before it is ours.
- You want to empty a can rather than buy bags. The SR46 and SR60 are the inverted-bag units in this coverage range.

Returns are accepted for 30 days on units still factory-sealed and unused, with return freight paid by the buyer. Why is the SR52 louder than the other VacuMaid units?
The 7.2-inch Premier motor in a 26-inch cabinet has less room to quiet itself. It is rated 70 dB with a vented exhaust. Mount it in a garage or detached mechanical space and it is a non-issue.
What circuit does it need?
120 volts at 15.8 amps. That is over a 15-amp breaker, so plan for a dedicated 20-amp circuit.
What are the output numbers?
631 air watts, 121 CFM and 142 inches of water lift, with a 27-quart dirt capacity and a disposable HEPA-style bag.
Will you install it and run the exhaust?
Yes. We install across the Farmington Valley, and on the SR52 we always vent the exhaust outside. Call (860) 678-0011 and we will look at the garage wall first.
